名塩和紙づくりには、名塩川の水が使われていることをご存知でしょうか? この名塩川は、それほど大きな川ではありませんが、場所によって表情がガラッと変わります。
名塩にある旧丹波街道を歩くと、こんなきれいな景色があります。
ここは、とらま淵。
その昔、とらと言う若い女性が、ここで飛び込み自殺をしたそうなんです。 ずっと見ていると、目がクラクラしてくるんですよ…あぶないあぶない。
“Najio river, The Multifaceted Nature”
Do you know water of Najio river is used for papermaking of Najio-washi, the Japanese paper? The river isn’t so big, but its scenes change drastically.
I saw the beautiful deep pool when I walked on the old highway in Najio.
Here is called as “Torama-Fuchi”.
A long time ago, a young woman called Tora committed suicide by jumping into the pool. I felt dizzy when I saw here for a while…that was close.

一方、こんなにおだやかな浅瀬もあります。 私のプロフィール写真にも使われている、”坊さんケ淵”です。 のどかですね。
There is such a calm shallow water in the another place. Here is called “Bonsanga-Fuchi”. It’s a peaceful landscape.

少し先は、Uの字に蛇行しています。 めずらしいですね。
When I went a little further, I found the u-shaped meandering spot. it’s unusual, isn’t it?
